This year for Harvest Festival our pupils contributed to local church St Saviours' efforts to help those less fortunate by donating to the Cardinal Hume Centre.
On Friday 23rd September Fr Matthew Catterick from St Saviour's Church came in to talk to our pupils about the Harvest Festival, how important it is to be thankful for the food we have and how we can show this by charing it with others who are less fortunate than ourselves. Each class took their donations to St Saviour's Church on Monday 3rd October. We are very proud to be supporting them in their efforts to help those less fortunate - the food donated will be given to the Cardinal Hume Centre.
The Cardinal Hume Centre is a local centre for young people with no safe place to sleep, for parents who cannot put food on the table and are scared about losing their home and for vulnerable people who do not know who to turn to for help. The Centre provides a safe place and offers practical advice and support which will ensure lasting change. Read more about it at: https://www.cardinalhumecentre.org.uk/
