Parents
Building a proactive partnership
We encourage open communication between home and school. Our aim is to work in partnership with parents and carers to ensure every child is supported with their learning, both inside and outside the classroom. Our Home-School Agreement sets out the commitment we each make.
Each child has a report sent home every other term, which details effort and achievement. There are also three parent/carer meetings during the year.
Parent Staff Association
Parents/carers of children in the school automatically become members of Pimlico Primary’s Parent Staff Association and we warmly encourage you to get involved. All contributions, in whatever form, are valued.
The PSA plays a positive and active role in the social and fundraising life of the school. It is led by a Chairperson and Treasurer who are elected annually.
Supporting learning at home
We publish regular curriculum updates that tell you what your child is learning so that you can discuss these topics at home. The Ruth Miskin website includes video tutorials that reflect our approach to teaching phonics and reading, and show you how to help your child.
Our Handwriting booklet shows you the precursive writing style we teach and our Maths Challenges booklet gives you ideas for helping your child to apply their maths knowledge.
